For instance, in one of the emails I was sent, a pair of senior pugs was shown and described. They were among a dozen or so dogs from the same shelter. I took a few minutes to search for pug rescue groups in the state the shelter was located, and sent the email, with only the two dogs' photos attached, to the few breed rescues for pugs that I could find. I expect the rescue groups have been inundated by requests for help on behalf of the dogs, as a result of the early emails having gone out so widely. If everyone trying to help animals would send out their 'help needed' messages addressed to only a handful of individuals or groups, our work would be streamlined and speedier.
