My favorite technique for daily flying fur control is both low-tech and low-cost. First, take damp hands and rub your pet from nose to tail with firm strokes. On cats, their 'dander,' or dried cat spit, will dissolve and leave a sticky coating on your hands. The longer you are able to rub, the more fur will come off your pet and stick to your hands. Rubbing your hands together will remove the fur in 'dreadlocks' that can be thrown away (or spun into yarn!) Then, use a flea comb to comb the cat or dog and remove more of the shedding fur. When it's off your pet, it can't get on your floor or furniture!
